The Carousel Ad

I thought the guy's advertisement strategy has it's place and can be very powerful, but to use nostalgia in a picture slide shower as it's sales key will only get you so many customers. If he was to incorporate the nostalgia strategy into a clothes brand name or style then I would see the practicality of people longing to wear what they used too when they were smaller and in turn wearing clothes of the same brand or style they have grown up in. While watching the clip I was wondering throughout the clip, what is this thing they are trying to market? When I saw the Kodak's picture slide viewer I was disappointed in what the product was but I understood from the man's point of view on why he would use nostalgia and the idea of using the word carousel, rather than wheel, to describe a device that shifts through nostalgic pictures in a big circle, eventually ending where you started and repeating over again.
