This is the first time I wrote a personal, yet formal, essay. When writing my paper I had to make sure everything I wrote down was properly cited because I did not want to have any trouble with plagiarism in my paper, even if the paper is based on my own past thoughts and experiences. I have put in a total of ten hours in the paper and what I got from it is not as satisfactory as I want it to be. The paper might have been long and covered many topics, but that was just the opposite of what it needed to be. My paper needed to be much more focused on the experiences I had. The experiences were the most important because they had an influence on my perspective of the Polish culture. I wrote a lot of factual information and my experiences on traveling, but I did not focus on the feelings that I have experienced about the small things that I have done. I learned from writing this paper that it is not good to have a broad and scattered paper, rather, having a small and focused paper is much more clear to the reader and still gets the point across. From my mistakes, I have learned to not stick to one subject if I don't completely understand it and that I should have picked a more simpler subject.
